Client: Dowbuilt

From time to time, the specifications of a project change after some critical infrastructure is already in place. Dowbuilt turned to joshua english:design to fashion some concrete architectural elements that integrated with a change in thickness of the settled upon wall cladding. The existing cast-in-place concrete curb was meant to come flush with the face of the cladding, but there were two critical areas where the cast-in-place concrete came up short. Millimeter accuracy was required in order to complete the look and feel desired by the interior designer and the client. Our relentless attention to detail allowed us to create facades made from our proprietary GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) that not only matched the existing concrete in color, but had a fit with tolerances of 1mm! The result was a money saving solution for Dowbuilt that allowed them to stay on time and in budget.
